We are responsible for conceptualizing new ideas through consumer research and market intelligence, and also testing these ideas through an iterative pilot, feedback, repeat loop. Education:BTech/MTech from a tier 1 school

Experience:6-8 years of engineering experience (B2C products/platforms, start-ups, tech enabled businesses)

Location: Mumbai

What will you do
  • Envision the tech stack for a set of new ideas (most of them not cast in stone) and define the technology roadmap, keeping in mind, business goals, scalability and reliability considerations
  • Understand business needs for defining engineering and product building requirements
  • Manage technical parts and determine the right technology solutions (upgrade and hosting decisions, code build and deployment)for our new applications/software projects (from inception to launch)
  • Be responsible for backend, frontend, infrastructure, architecture, scalability and server-side engineering
  • Build, manage and lead the development and maintenance team (in house/outsourced) and ensure delivery of project using agile technologies
  • Monitor performance of individual contributors (engineers) and help manage their professional development
  • Collaborate with other team members and functions(e.g., marketing, product, design etc.) to roll out new systems, integrate existing systems and implement ongoing process improvements to the current systems
  • Drive resolution to conflicts or remove barriers for the product and engineering teams
  • Set and manage expectations, communicate and execute goals within timelines

What are we looking for:

Technical skill requirements:

  • Expertise in full stack architecture technologies (back end, front end, DevOps)and cloud-based environment
  • Expertise in selection, successful implementation and rapid adoption of new technologies (e.g., decision between low code / no code and custom code)
  • Proven record of leading software developers and DevOps resources (inhouse / outsourced)
  • Understanding of data architecture and methods of ingestion, storage, extraction and maintenance of data

Attitude / behavioural requirements:

  • Self-starter attitude; curiosity and passion to take on challenges and deliver results with minimum direction
  • Bias for action (knowing when to trade off perfection for timing; getting things done)
  • Ability to prioritize in an ambiguous environment
  • Out of the box thinking, clarity in thought (great to have wacky ideas, but you should be clear of your wacky ideas)

  • Frontend: React, Progressive Web Application (PWA) with Flutter for mobile
  • Backend: Python (Flask), NodeJS, OBIEE / Oracle Analytics Cloud
  • Databases: Oracle 11g / 19c, DynamoDB, Aurora, PostgreSQL, Redshift
  • Infrastructure:
  • o On-premises: Oracle Exadata X3-2 Qtr rack (EDW)
  • o AWS Cloud: ECS, S3, Lambda functions, Athena, Elasticsearch Service, Database Migration Service (DMS), EMR, Karka(EC2), Nifi(EC2), API Gateway, Kinesis Streams, Kinesis Firehose
  • DevOps: IAM, KMS, SNS, Cloudwatch
  • CI / CD pipeline: jenkins, gitlab, ansible, artifactory, Docker, CloudFormation
  • Reporting: Qlik Sens
